Also raced in the Canadian Arctic, led a team of women across the inland ice of Greenland, skied along a frozen river in Siberia and spent three years living and working in the Antarctic. In 2009, Felicty led a diverse, multicultural team of ordinary women on one of the most arduous journeys on earth: a 900km trek to the South Pole. The 38-day expedition saw the 8 women, some of whom had never even seen snow before, enduring eighty-mile-an-hour winds, frostbite and daily injuries whilst skiing across the cracking ice, which revealed deadly crevasses beneath. A truly inspirational story and fascinating insight into the coldest, driest and most challenging continent on Earth.
