Speakers from the Edge specialise in organising UK tours for adventure based speakers in the UK, successfully setting up shows and lectures across the country all year round.
We are currently working in conjunction with speakers such as Simon Yates, Ian Parnell and Kenton Cool, setting up a UK tours for 2008.
Speakers from the Edge is also a conventional speaker agency, providing some of the best motivational speakers to schools, businesses and charity events.
Speakers from the Edge was set up by the international speaker and mountaineer Andy Kirkpatrick in partnership with events organiser Rebecca Varley. Our aim is to promote speakers who we feel represent the very best in adventure based speaking.
Speakers from the Edge works with a small group of hand-picked individuals who we feel offer real insight into human endurance and motivation. All of our speakers represent the real face of modern adventure, climbing, skiing, kayaking in some of the most remote and unexplored places on our planet. Their stories are many and varied, but all describe how they have overcome both physical and mental barriers in order to reach their goals.
Story telling is the heart of what we do, and our speakers offer unique perspectives on the world, passing on their inspirational stories in an open, honest and entertaining way.
Speakers from the Edge is based in Sheffield, on the edge of the Peak District, the heart of UK climbing, and ideal base for an adventure based speaking agency.
Andy is one of the best mountain speakers in the world; talking to audiences as far apart as Canada, Spain and New Zealand. In 2006 Andy moved from his traditional audience of outdoor fanatics, to the mainstream, with his one man show ‘Psychovertical’. Mixing humour, observation and a big dose of fear, Andy’s show has helped to introduce a whole new audience to mountain and adventure based speaking.

After managing Andy’s ‘Psychovertical’ tour, Rebecca saw the potential for developing adventure based theatre tours and speaking throughout the UK.
With her experience of marketing and event organising, Rebecca’s primary role is developing tours for our speakers in the UK, liaising with clients on special events, and managing the business on a day to day basis.
