Felicity Aston & Andy Kirkpatrick at TEDxHull this February
TEDxHull

The first ever TEDxHull event is being held at the Hull Truck Theatre on Tuesday February 21st.  Focusing on the theme of Beyond Limits, the organisers contacted us looking for two inspirational speakers to include in their programme.   We suggested mountaineer Andy Kirkpatrick and polar explorer Felicity Aston, both of whom have considerable experience of testing the limits of human endurance.

Disaster for Mark Beaumont's Atlantic challenge as boat sinks

Just days away from breaking the world record for rowing across the Atlantic in under 30 days, adventurer Mark Beaumont and his 5 teams mates have had to abandon their challenge after their boat capsized.

Thankfully all six members of the Atlantic Odyssey Challenge team are safe, after being rescued from their life raft by a cargo ship.  The team will be taken to Gibraltar, where they are due to arrive on 9th February.
