Ian Parnell, Associate Editor Climb Magazine

As of July, Britain’s premiere climbing magazine will have a new editorial team, with Speakers from Edge’s Ian Parnell as Associate Editor. Along with Dave Pickford as Chief Editor, Ian will be working on a number of significant changes to the title’s design and content, and is hoping to consolidate the magazine’s position as the best monthly English-language title available anywhere.

Climb Magazine"I'm very excited about the opportunity to work with Dave Pickford on the new Climb Magazine.  Since it's birth 64 issues ago Climb has established itself as the best climbing Mag in the UK, we want to make it the World's best.  Amongst the improvements we are planning from our first issue, are a sharper design coupled with even more full page images from the World's best photographers and opportunities for the finest writers to explore the big stories in more depth." Ian Parnell

Ian is one of Britain’s most experienced climbing and mountaineering journalists. He has written for leading climbing media all over the world. His photos have been published by the Mail on Sunday, Independent on Sunday and in books by Reinhold Messner, Alex Huber and Neil Gresham. Ian will continue as Alpine Editor for Climb until taking up his new post in two months time.
